Each sensor node uses a wireless link to forward sensor data to a gateway device.
The SN400 sensor node contains one internal temperature sensor for recording temperature (P0). Optional wired sensors can be connected to any of the four external ports for recording other data types (P1-P4). This devices external port configuration is: temp, temp, temp/humidity, door open.
The node can be configured with none, or any of these four wired sensors: port1-TWDS100, port2-TWDS100, port3-HWDS100, port4-DWAS100). A port does not have to contain a wired sensor.

The sensor node contains integrated mounting magnets for attaching to ferrous metal surfaces.
Each node also includes one #4, 3/8 in. long pan head screw for mounting to sheet rock or wood surfaces.
The minimum requirements for operation of the R9 monitoring system are:
– 1 gateway device
– 1 sensor node device (1-50 nodes are supported per gateway, external wired sensors are optional)
– 1 R9 SAFEZONE data service (annual payment)
